Ismail Musirin received B. Elect. Eng. (Hons) from University of Technology Malaysia on 1990, MSc in Pulsed Power Technology from University of Strathclyde in 1992 and PhD in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2005. He is currently the Head of Programme of Diploma in Electrical Power Engineering, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA. His research interest includes voltage stability studies, artificial neural network, Evolutionary Computation such as Evolutionary Programming and Genetic Algorithm, Artifical Immune System (AIS), Ant Colony Optimisation (ACO), Economic Dispatch and Loss Minimisation. To date, he has authored and co-authored more than 60 technical papers for the international journals and conferences, supervising post-graduate candidates and being the reviewers for the IEEE transactions and Elservier Science journals.
